Case Study: Opening doors and getting more time to do what you love

Founded in 1994, Caloundra City Realty (CCR) is an independent and locally owned real estate agency, based on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. Their core focus is to open doors for families and investors to achieve their dreams.  They provide services including property management, sales and other support services such as maintenance.

The challenge

In 2023, CCR began their journey to implement EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). During the early stages of implementation, the visionary identified that while there was a great leadership team in place to undertake their technical work, there was something missing. The something was an integrator. The visionary of the business was sitting in the integrator seat to cover this gap, yet he knew that was not his true passion. He knew that by filling the integrator role, while the company was doing well, in the long term, if he continued as the integrator, it would hold the business back.

The solution

Upon referral to Independent Executives, a discovery process was undertaken to understand the needs of CCR and what success looked like with an integrator from Independent Executives. Through this process CCR wanted to:

  • Accelerate their implementation of EOS, as it was already having a very positive influence on the business
  • Bring together a leadership team that was doing well and needed to get to the next level to grow the business
  • Have an experienced integrator that could support the things they were learning and applying from their EOS Implementer
  • Hold the entire business to their accountabilities and have those difficult conversations

The result

Upon engaging with an Independent Executives Integrator, accountability across the leadership team dramatically increased, they were better prepared for their EOS sessions and therefore getting more out of them, they navigated the opening of a new branch of CCR, clarity across the business about goals and targets became better. Finally, the leadership team and the visionary could spend more time doing what they love and grow the business.
